36X Telephoto Phone Lens Kit with Metal Tripod — iPhone & Android
Product description
Designed for distance photography, this kit centers on a 36X telephoto lens made to bring distant subjects—birds, wildlife, athletes, and vistas—much closer to your phone’s camera. The optic assembly uses multi-coated glass elements to cut glare and reduce distortion so images retain sharper detail and more natural color rendition.
Included with the telephoto are mounting hardware and a sturdy metal tripod to steady shots when magnification makes hand-holding impractical. The setup is intended to be used with the phone’s primary camera; align the lens directly over your main lens for best results. It’s optimized for shooting ranges of roughly 30–200+ ft and is not designed for close-up family portraits or macro shots.
Compatibility covers many phones with body widths between 2.6–3.7 in (66–95 mm), including popular iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, and Google Pixel models. Actual fit can vary with camera placement, camera bump size, and any protective case. Removing bulky cases and centering the attachment over the main camera improves alignment and image quality.
To minimize dark circular edges, open your phone camera app and apply a modest amount of digital zoom (about 1.2X–1.5X). Make sure the lens is not over the ultra-wide camera and, on supported iPhones, disable Auto Macro if it appears as a flower icon. The combination of a wider field of view and reduced vignetting makes this 36X option easier to frame moving subjects than higher-powered alternatives, while the tripod helps maintain steady framing during longer sessions.
Pros
- High 36X reach with a relatively wide field of view
- Multi-coated glass for reduced glare and truer colors
- Includes a sturdy metal tripod for stable shooting
Cons
- Not intended for close-up or macro portraits
- Fit varies by phone model, bump, and case thickness
- May show dark edges unless slight digital zoom is used
VerdictThis 36X telephoto phone lens delivers strong reach with a wider viewing area than higher-magnification options, making it easier to frame moving or distant subjects. Multi-coated optics improve clarity and color, and the included metal tripod adds stable support in the field. It isn’t meant for close-range portraits and fit depends on camera placement and phone case, but for birdwatching, outdoor

TATIANA CAROLINA DE LOS RIOS GAVIRIA 5/5
Compact and takes nice photos/videos
Works well at the suggested 5–10m range. Takes a bit of practice to avoid blur (use the tripod and don’t touch the screen). Very portable for travel. Tip: pick a kit that fits your phone case.

Worked fine but hardware failed
The tripod was easy to use and adjust, but the pivot screw stripped within a year of light use. I patched it with tape but it won’t hold steady in some positions anymore.

Nice balance between selfie stick and tripod
Good compromise—heavier than a basic selfie stick but more stable. Bluetooth remote pairs quickly. Note: Italian manual mistranslated Bluetooth as Wi‑Fi but pairing works fine.

I take this flexible tripod everywhere. It’s light yet feels stable and has multiple mounts for phones, cameras, and action cams. Comes with a decent bag — great for travel and bird video from the window.

Honest_Critic_007 4/5
Functional, reasonably stable
At full extension it’s less steady than a three-leg tripod but still performs well for its height. Locks are secure, and it tilts/pans easily. Some tightening parts feel flimsy, so longevity is a question.
