Big Fudge Vinyl Record Cleaning Kit — Manual Spinner & Care Set
Product description
Keep your vinyl sounding its best by removing dust, fingerprints and surface contaminants before playback. This kit is built around a manual spinner basin and an adjustable roller/carriage that holds records while soft microfiber brushes and absorbent rollers apply and remove cleaning fluid.
What’s in the box: a hand-crank spinner machine with roller mounts and integrated brush pads, one or more bottles of record cleaning fluid, a small hand brush for edges, an all-purpose cleaning cloth and a larger microfiber drying towel. Some packages include two small solution bottles and extra towels.
Materials and capacity: the brushes are microfiber, the rollers are soft foam, and the basin and carriage are molded plastic designed to cradle standard 12" LPs (also compatible with many smaller discs using the adjustable rollers). Each cleaning cycle handles individual records in the spinner; the starter fluid supplied is intended to be enough for many dozens to several hundred cleanings when used with distilled water.
How to use: fill the basin with distilled water to the recommended level, add the supplied cleaning liquid per instructions, set the record on the rollers, engage the microfiber brush pads and rotate the disc several turns to agitate and lift debris. Rinse in a second basin or with fresh distilled water if desired, then remove and dry with the included microfiber drying towel or place on a drying rack until completely dry. For best results, change the solution when it becomes visibly dirty and allow the cleaning pads to dry between sessions.
Pros
- Cleans both sides simultaneously with microfiber pads
- Adjustable rollers fit a variety of record sizes
- Includes solution and multiple cleaning towels
Cons
- Brush pads are consumable and not always sold separately
- Manual operation less convenient than motorized units
- Some supplied towels may shed lint
VerdictA straightforward, budget-conscious record washer that pairs rotating rollers and microfiber pads to wash both sides at once. It’s simple to operate, includes basic cleaning fluid and towels, and its adjustable rollers accept most standard discs. Expect meaningful noise reduction on many records, though results vary by condition; consumable pads will eventually need replacing. Overall a solid choi

Very handy kit
Includes most of what you need—just add distilled water to the white solution bottle. Build quality is good and the accessories are useful.

Not perfect but helps
After cleaning around 20 records I heard improvements on most — some dramatically, others only slightly. A couple needed a second pass for best results. Watch for lint on first play; check the stylus and use distilled water for minimal residue.

Great while it lasts, but no replacement parts
Worked very well for about 500 records; pads and towels began to show wear after that. Contacting the maker revealed they don’t sell replacement brushes or wear parts, so you may need a new kit when pads wear out.

Performs as described
Arrived on time and cleaned a stack of old records so they now play with less static and many sound nearly new.

Deep cleans vinyl
Uses distilled or demineralized water mixed with the supplied fluid to remove dust and stains. It won’t repair scratches but it removes dirt and often reduces playback noise. The included towels are functional but consider a higher-quality microfiber to avoid lint.

Very good when handled properly
I tested it on an older LP. I used garden gloves to avoid touching the record edges and a low-lint waffle-weave microfiber towel. I filled it per the instructions, placed the disc on the rollers, rotated slowly and let it sit a minute before completing the cycle — worked very well.

Worse sound after use for me
I cleaned about 40 LPs and although they looked cleaner, the playback developed more clicks and pops. I changed solution multiple times and used a carbon brush before playing; the noise persisted. I’ll try rinsing them again with plain distilled water.

Does the job for rough albums
Many online demos recommend this type of cleaner. It won’t restore heavily scratched vinyl, but it reduced crackles and surface noise on a badly worn disc I tested. Setup felt awkward at first, but once spinning the process is easy and effective.

Nice results with a two-basin rinse
I followed a two-basin routine: first wash with the supplied fluid diluted in distilled water, then a second rinse with a small amount of Fotoflo in water. Records rinsed and dried in the rack in under half an hour and sounded much improved.

Great — simple and effective

Surprisingly effective and clever design
I compared a few manual cleaners and chose this one for its simple mechanics and built-in drying area. It arrives with two small fluid bottles and spare towels. I filled the basin with distilled water, set the pads and rolled a noisy used album through a couple cycles — the noise dropped noticeably and the record played much cleaner afterward.
