Seasonal
Ergonomic Heavy-Duty Snow Shovel — 18" Blade, 58" Handle
Product description
Multi-purpose snow tool. This shovel is designed to speed up snow removal after storms and to lower the effort needed to clear driveways, sidewalks, steps, or around vehicles. Keep it in the garage or the trunk for seasonal use and outdoor trips.
Ergonomic curved handle. The shaft is constructed from high-performance aluminum that combines strength with low weight. The C-shaped ergonomic grip is angled to promote a more upright stance during use, helping to minimize bending and reduce the load on your lower back and shoulders.
Reinforced scoop with large capacity. The scoop measures approximately 18 inches across and is molded from heavy-duty plastic engineered to resist cracking in cold weather. A reinforced aluminum strip is bonded to the scoop’s leading edge to add scraping strength and durability when pushing through packed snow or thin ice.
Durable yet lightweight assembly. The handle sections interlock securely and the package includes the fastening hardware and a hex (Allen) wrench for quick assembly. The aluminum poles resist bending and are light enough to prevent early fatigue during longer clearing sessions.
How to use. The shovel can be used to lift and toss snow, push drifts along driveways, and scrape at compacted layers with the aluminum lip. While it performs well on regular to heavy snowfall and thin ice, extremely dense, plow-compacted banks may require a heavier-duty steel shovel or ice chisel.
Pros
- Ergonomic curved aluminum handle reduces bending
- Reinforced aluminum edge for scraping packed snow
- Lightweight construction eases extended use
Cons
- Plastic scoop can be stressed by very hard ice
- Assembly holes/screws may need careful alignment
- Not ideal for extremely heavy plow-packed banks
VerdictThis snow shovel blends a sturdy aluminum handle with a durable plastic scoop reinforced by an aluminum scraping lip. It’s easy to assemble and light enough to use for extended periods while the C-shaped ergonomic grip helps reduce back and wrist strain. The plastic blade handles wet and powdery snow well and the reinforced edge lets you tackle compacted snow and thin ice. Expect great value for g

Simple and sturdy — does the job
Took a little time to screw together but it feels solid. I’ve only used it once so far and it performed well for that job.

Sturdy with a slight blade bow
Very solid shovel overall. The blade had a small bow in the center that I bent back into place. Assembly was easy and the included tool and hardware matched perfectly.

Lightweight and effective, minor fit issue
I’m comfortable assembling things but one unit had slightly misaligned screw channels that required forcing the inserts in. Once assembled it handled a 27.5" storm without complaint. The C-handle snagged my pocket a few times and the blade doesn’t glide super smoothly on pavement, so I expect some wear over time.

Held up through a brutal Alaska season
We had relentless snow and bitter cold here; my old plastic shovel shattered. This model arrived in pieces but assembled into a very solid tool. The metal handle feels sturdy and the curved grip helps with long sessions. So far it has handled the extreme conditions better than my previous shovels.

Long, ergonomic shovel with assist grip
Quick to assemble with the provided Allen key. The long metal handle and assist grip made it easy to push snow without straining my bad arm. The plastic head with a metal edge lets you scrape thin ice and clear without lifting every shovelful.

Comfortable design but small assembly quirks
The shovel feels good in hand and seems to reduce back strain. Assembly was mostly simple, though one lower screw wouldn’t tighten fully and the top fasteners stick out a bit. They’re secure and the tool doesn’t wobble when in use.

Slices through snow — saved me multiple times
As someone new to snowy winters, this shovel was a lifesaver. The ergonomic handle is a real benefit, and the metal edge cut through snow and thin ice much better than a basic plastic shovel. Highly recommended for newcomers to cold climates.

Solid addition to a winter toolkit
Assembly was easy and the metal poles lock together snugly. The plastic scoop with reinforced aluminum edge keeps the weight down while still being dependable for wet and powder snow. Not meant for clearing heavy ice left by plows, but great for everyday snow removal.

Easy, quick assembly — no problems here
I gave it five stars for how straightforward it was to put together. Matching the numbered parts and using the provided hex wrench made assembly simple — I could assemble and disassemble it in minutes. The hardware fit as intended and everything feels well made.

Stands up to northern Canadian winters
This shovel is built a bit more for taller users; I’m 5'6" and find the end grip awkward when navigating stairs. It’s strong and I don’t hesitate to scrape, and after a full winter it still looks like new. Better for clearing snowbanks than for stair-by-stair work.

Plastic scoop failed to hold the bolt
The shovel head is hard plastic and the tube has a square hole to seat a bolt, but the plastic failed to hold during tightening. The bolt spun free and now the head won’t secure properly. A metal insert in that area would fix this design weakness.
