Furinno Jaya 5-Tier Tall Bookshelf — Adjustable Shelves, Espresso
Product description
This Furinno Jaya 5-tier bookcase is a ready-to-assemble unit intended for organizing books, décor, small electronics and storage bins in compact rooms. The package contains the shelving panels, two side assemblies that join at the center shelf, a thin rear panel, shelf pegs, fasteners and wall-anchoring hardware. Decorative items are not included.
The case is constructed from durable composite wood (medium-density particleboard) with a closed back panel that helps keep items from falling through and adds lateral stability. The design includes three adjustable shelves and two fixed shelves so you can change shelf spacing to suit tall items or create uniform storage. Each shelf is rated to support about 10 lb, giving the entire unit a combined capacity of roughly 50 lb.
Its footprint measures 9.5 inches deep by 24.5 inches wide and the overall height is 71.2 inches, making it suitable for narrow spaces or apartment living. The unit is lightweight for easy handling, comes in three color options to match décor, and is produced and assembled in Malaysia using FSC-certified materials in its construction. Care is simple: wipe clean with a damp cloth and avoid harsh chemical cleaners. Images are illustrative; assembly required.
Pros
- Space-saving narrow footprint fits tight areas
- Three adjustable shelves for flexible storage
- Lightweight and simple to assemble
Cons
- Low per-shelf weight limit—best for light items
- Thin rear panel can feel flimsy
- May require wall anchoring for stability
VerdictA space-saving, economical tall bookshelf that suits light-duty storage and display. The adjustable shelves let you tailor spacing for books, bins, or knickknacks, and the rear panel helps keep items tidy. Construction is simple and assembly is straightforward, but finish issues and the lightweight back panel mean it’s best used for modest loads and secured to the wall for safety.

Not quite what I expected compared to others
Depth is shallower than similar models I own, pegs are plastic rather than metal, and some adhesive labels pulled off the finish during assembly. Functional but not premium.

Damaged panel stopped assembly
One piece arrived broken, so I haven’t been able to put the unit together yet.

Arrived scratched and unusable parts
Both boxes had major surface damage and several unusable boards, so I could only assemble one shelf by mixing parts. The thin back panel felt more like cardboard. Very frustrating.

As described — straightforward
Good quality and easy to assemble.

Easy to assemble but attracts dust
Simple to put together and reasonably sturdy. Note that the surfaces show dust easily and need frequent wiping.

Best assembly shelves I've bought
Stands out among budget shelving I've assembled. Packaging protected corners well and components arrived intact. For simple, lightweight shelving this was excellent.

Good budget option if assembled correctly
Follow the instructions and add the back panel — it becomes reasonably sturdy. The back is fragile, so handle it gently and assemble on the floor. Wall anchor is included if you want extra security.

Underwhelming build and tricky to fasten
Assembly took much longer than advertised. The back board won’t lie flat easily and the nails are hard to place without piercing. Feels unstable unless anchored to a wall.

Decent for the price — two-piece sides join at center
You get a basic, no-frills bookcase. The sides come in two sections that connect at the middle shelf, which is fixed. Fit and finish are a step down from higher-end brands, but it performs for light use.

Poor quality; unpacked pieces were damaged
Very disappointing build experience. Multiple boards arrived with chips and some parts lacked clear labels. Assembly was frustrating because of damaged pieces and missing identifiers. Not the quality I expected.
