Heavy-Duty Garage Storage Shelving Unit — 72 x 36 x 16 in
Product description
Built for heavy use, this shelving unit features a Z-frame design with rolled-edge columns (0.9 mm thickness) and 0.6 mm horizontal supports. Each shelf is rated to carry about 400 lb, giving an approximate overall capacity near 2000 lb when evenly loaded. The dimensions of the unit are 72 in tall with five adjustable tiers and shelf platforms roughly 36 x 16 in (about 90 x 40 cm).
Shelf panels are 5 mm high-density MDF at an 820 density rating, chosen to resist sagging under weight better than cheap particleboard. The frame has a matte black powder-coated finish for corrosion resistance and a cleaner workshop look.
Assembly is boltless and uses a snap-in system that most people can complete in under 15 minutes. The package includes gloves, a plastic mallet, 16 dowels, 2 expansion bolts and 2 connecting sleeves so you can install without additional tools. The design allows for quick reconfiguration of shelf heights.
This rack is versatile: use it in garages for tools and storage bins, in basements for seasonal items, in workshops for parts and equipment, or in utility rooms and pantries for heavier items. With five adjustable tiers, it helps maximize vertical space while keeping items organized and accessible.
The unit ships in drop-tested packaging with 20 mm pearl cotton, four corner guards and a 700 g kraft carton to minimize dents and damage in transit. Expect the shelves to arrive well protected and ready for immediate installation.

Nice unit, watch for smell
Easy to assemble and solid once up. The boards give off a strong chemical odor for a while; I’d air them outside a few days before installing if that bothers you.

Ideal for the garage
Fits perfectly in my garage and stores a lot without taking too much floor space. Once assembled it feels stable and keeps everything organized.

Excellent heavy-duty rack
Bolt-less assembly was fast, and the shelves handle heavy tubs with no bowing. Split-post option let me set up a side-by-side bench instead of one tall tower. Great for clearing clutter.

Solid, dependable storage
I set this up in my storage room and it’s held up great. Very sturdy, simple to snap together, and supports heavy loads without wobbling. Highly recommended.

Not as robust as expected
Assembly was easy, but the metal flexes more than I thought it would. I changed to a two-shelf setup and found there weren’t enough feet for both top and bottom. Disappointed.

Rock-solid and easy to build
Very straightforward assembly and clear instructions. Looks great in the garage and truly feels heavy-duty — I’ve put multiple 5-gallon buckets on it with no movement.

Good for a closet, some sway front-to-back
Works well in my closet but I wouldn’t stack very heavy totes on it. It wobbles a bit front-to-back—likely due to the narrow depth. Took about 45–60 minutes solo to assemble; dimensions were accurate.
