   Simple setup, works well

   Easy to put up and even my large, fluffy cat can squeeze through the small door. Keeps the dog out of the area while allowing the cats access with no trouble.

   Well made but didn’t fit my stairs

   High-quality metal construction and clear instructions. I had to return it because my stair baseboard made the bottom a tripping hazard, though the return process was painless.

   Latch failed after months

   I own three of these and two broke after 6–9 months. The latch uses thin plastic and snapped under normal use. I’ve contacted the maker but worry replacements won’t last. Spent a lot on them and disappointed at the short lifespan.

   Keeps toddler out, a bit fiddly

   Very strong and keeps my toddler out of the bathroom, but unlocking it can be annoying. My 5-year-old can’t manage it on her own when she needs the bathroom.

   Solid gate, tricky when hands full

   Opening requires pushing two buttons then lifting, which is awkward with arms full. Still, it’s sturdy, keeps dogs out and lets cats through, and was easy to put together—so I’m giving it five stars.

   Sturdy and reliable

   Does the job — dog can’t get through and the cat uses the little door all the time. Very sturdy once in place.

   Had it ready for when my daughter started crawling but a key piece was already broken out of the box so the door won’t close. Very disappointing.

   Perfect for our four-animal household

   We liked it enough to buy another. With 2 cats and 2 dogs it helps control access without a total lockdown. You can lower the cat door slightly for them but still keep it mostly closed. It looks good and reduces chaos at night.

    Keeps dog out and lets cat roam

    Bought to keep the dog out of the laundry room while allowing the cat access. Installed in minutes and the cat hatch locks open rather than swinging, which I prefer. I kept the extra extensions just in case; the build feels thoughtful and sturdy.

    Best gate I've owned

    I've tried several gates and this one is the most solid. It adjusts easily for different doorways, is simple to set up, and the small pet hatch locks and stays up securely. The auto-close always shuts behind you so it never gets left open.

    Perfect fit and very simple to install. It secures top and bottom and the cat hatch lifts rather than swings. I used a banister kit for one side and liked that there are screw and adhesive mounting options depending on how permanent you want it.
