Product description
Precision mirror baseplate compass designed for demanding outdoor navigation. The MC-2 includes a sighting mirror with a viewing slot and notch for accurate long-distance bearings, a clear 360° rotating dial and luminous sighting points to aid use in low-light conditions.
The baseplate is ruled with an inch ruler and multiple map scales, plus metric UTM markings for straightforward work on topographic maps. The compass incorporates an adjustable declination mechanism and ships with a small tool to set it, allowing you to correct for magnetic variation without constant mental conversion.

Excellent, dependable navigation tool
Solidly built and impressively precise. The needle moves smoothly and the mirror sighting makes lining up bearings much easier. Declination adjustment is straightforward and removes guesswork on map routes.

Essential for regular off-trail navigation
Simple, effective and good value. Declination adjustment is crucial where variation is high and this makes routine navigation much easier.

Highly accurate but requires a method
To get a precise bearing you must sight the target, then rotate the bezel and align the needle with the index mark. It’s accurate once you master the sequence, but different from a lensatic style.

Very pleased, but check the exact model
This has the features I wanted: mirror, 360° dial, inch ruler plus map scales and an adjustable declination. My only gripe was uncertainty which exact variant I received, so double-check part numbers if you need a specific spec.
