Karen Kay Buckley 4-Inch Micro-Serrated Precision Scissors - Green
Product description
These scissors feature a micro-serrated blade that draws fabric into the cutting edge rather than pushing it away, producing secure, accurate snips on slippery or lightweight materials. The set includes one 4-inch (blade and overall dimensions roughly 4 x 2¼ inches) precision scissor and a plastic protective cover to keep the tips safe when stored or transported.
Construction highlights include blades sharpened to the tip for fine point work and a cushioned handle design that accommodates both right- and left-handed users. The scissors are lightweight for ease of handling during detailed tasks such as appliqué, trimming curves, cutting points and clipping seam allowances.
Because of the serrated edge and narrow tips, these scissors are intended for precision fabric work rather than heavy-duty cutting through thick, multiple-layered seams. They are imported and sold as a single small-size precision pair with protective blade cover.
Pros
- Micro-serrated blade grips fabric to reduce slippage and fraying
- Cushioned, ambidextrous handles for comfortable use
- Includes plastic protective blade cover for safe storage
Cons
- Not suited for cutting thick, multi-layer seams
- Small size limits heavy-duty or high-torque cutting
- Handles may flex under high pressure
VerdictThese small, micro-serrated scissors excel at detailed textile work. The serrated edge grips fabric to prevent slipping and fraying, while the cushioned handles make prolonged use comfortable for both right- and left-handers. They’re not meant for heavy stacked seams, but for precision cutting of curves, points and appliqué they’re a top choice.

Perfect for fussy cuts
These tiny scissors are ideal for fussy cutting — the narrow point and serrated blades make detailed snips much easier. Sharp and comfortable; highly recommended.

Excellent for fine tasks, with caveats
They shine at cutting corners, seam allowances and threads, but only handle a couple of fabric layers. The soft handles flex if you apply a lot of pressure and the serration can create a bit of lint while cutting. Very narrow, very precise.

The best I've owned
After decades of sewing, these stand out. The micro-serrated blades cut right to the tip, handles are comfortable, and the protective cover is handy. I own multiple sizes and they’re worth the investment.
