SanDisk CFexpress Type B Extreme PRO 128GB Card
Product description
This CFexpress Type B card is sold as a single memory card and includes access to SanDisk’s RescuePRO Deluxe recovery software via download (registration required). It conforms to the CFexpress Type B form factor and uses durable gold-plated contacts and a ruggedized PCB for reliable connections.
Performance varies by capacity: the 512GB model reaches up to 1700 MB/s read and up to 1400 MB/s write; 128GB–256GB models offer up to 1700 MB/s read and up to 1200 MB/s write; the 64GB variant delivers up to 1500 MB/s read and up to 800 MB/s write. These figures are based on internal testing and actual speeds depend on host device, firmware, usage conditions and other factors. For clarity, 1 MB = 1,000,000 bytes and 1 GB = 1,000,000,000 bytes; usable capacity is lower.
The card supports smooth RAW and high-bitrate 4K video workflows (4K capability may vary by host device, file settings and other conditions). It is suitable for burst shooting, continuous high-frame-rate capture, and fast offloads to compatible readers and workstations. Under sustained heavy use the card can become noticeably warm, which is normal for high-throughput flash media.
Backward compatibility: certain XQD cameras can accept CFexpress Type B cards after a firmware update provided by the camera maker. Check the camera manufacturer’s guidance and install any required firmware to enable compatibility.
Notes and limitations: performance numbers are manufacturer test results; real-world results will vary. RescuePRO Deluxe must be downloaded and registered; terms apply. Some regions may have different warranty terms.

Solid performance for EOS R6 Mark III
Performs perfectly in my Canon EOS R6 Mark III and greatly increases buffer capacity for burst shooting. Paired it with an inexpensive reader that works well on Mac and Windows. Handles 7K video without issues. Cards warm up during use, which is expected.

Ridiculously fast transfers
Insanely quick. Moving large RAW files from my Hasselblad was dramatically faster: 19.4GB transferred in under 20 seconds. With 512GB capacity it stores many portrait sessions. I only wish I’d upgraded sooner.

Top speed and stability for pros
Excels in speed and reliability; handles high-bitrate 4K with ease and feels well-built. Best suited to serious creators given the cost, but worth it if you need consistent performance.

Check reader compatibility first
My Mac Studio setup with daisy-chained LaCie docks revealed that not all readers handle CFexpress. The newer dock supports CFexpress, but older units didn’t. Verify your system’s Thunderbolt/USB settings and reader specs before relying on it.
