Wall-Mount Metal Hay Rack — 2-in-1 Livestock Feeder (Adjustable)
Product description
Construction and hardware: The feeder is formed from galvanized sheet and finished with a high-temperature paint for extra corrosion resistance. All fasteners supplied are 304 stainless steel, improving longevity in barn conditions.
Mounting system: Two L-shaped hooks are supplied, and their spacing can be adjusted to suit different mounting locations. The hanging design keeps the hay off the ground and helps prevent dampness and spoilage.
Capacity and layout: The unit includes a raised full-width bottom groove (catch trough) that sits higher to increase capacity and reduce spillage. A 4x4 inch hay mesh grid across the front controls access so livestock can pull hay through without large amounts falling out.
Compatibility and use: This hanging installation is intended for use in stalls, pens and run-ins for cattle, sheep, goats, horses and similar animals. It is compact enough for small family farms and homesteads and simplifies feeding while cutting waste.
Pros
- Galvanized body with high-temp paint for durability
- Adjustable double L-hooks for flexible mounting
- Raised catch tray and 4x4 mesh to reduce hay loss
Cons
- Edges may need smoothing depending on livestock behavior
- Not designed as a heavy-duty horse feeder for large breeds
- Smaller animals may climb or lie in the trough
VerdictA robust, space-saving hay and grain feeder that mounts to walls or posts. Galvanized construction and stainless fasteners resist corrosion; the adjustable double L-hooks let you place it on a range of stall posts. The elevated catch trough and 4x4 inch mesh limit spill and moisture contact. Good for small- to medium-sized livestock; check edges if animals push into the trough.

Solid and simple to mount
Put together quickly and feels very sturdy. The adjustable brackets fit various post shapes and sizes. Pro tip: use a ratchet with a 10mm socket to speed up the nut tightening.

Works well for growing goats
Sturdy construction and has handled daily use from my Nubians. Assembly was manageable with the included hardware. I expected uncoated metal but received a coated finish—still performs well.

Reduced waste, very effective
Replaced a homemade feeder and the catch tray makes a huge difference in wasted hay. Bought two and both work flawlessly; I added a thin hinged cover to keep chickens out, which helped even more.

Keeps hay off the floor
Bought two to keep hay away from bedding for my horses. They slide between barn poles and hold steady. I was cautious about sharp edges and added rubber corners, but they've been fine so far.

Much better than a hay net
This replaced our frustrating net — loading hay is easier and the tray gathers loose bits. Assembly was straightforward and the goats access their hay easily. No complaints from the herd.

Best for smaller stock
Well built, but not meant as a primary feeder for large horses.

Durable but watch for tiny goats
Very solid unit. Our little goats sometimes lie in the lower trough, so it’s not ideal for very small or playful kids.
