ANDELI Auto‑Darkening Welding Helmet — Smart LCD, 180° Panoramic View
Product description
This helmet ships with the auto‑darkening filter assembly built into a full‑coverage nylon shell and the adjustable pivot‑style headgear. The viewing package totals 7.2" x 3.2" made up of a 4.6" x 3.2" main lens plus two 1.3" x 2.5" side lenses; all lenses are rated 1/1/1/1 optical clarity. The side panels are fixed non‑auto‑darkening windows to expand peripheral sight.
The CAD‑style filter uses five high‑performance arc sensors that trigger the darkening state in about 1/30,000 of a second. A built‑in LED assembly automatically illuminates in low ambient light and is motion‑activated; there are three brightness levels for the LED. The unit’s auto‑adjust algorithms set shade, sensitivity and delay automatically, and each parameter can be fine‑tuned across a ±9 level range either individually or together.
Controls are fully digital and shown on an onboard LCD, allowing precise selection of shade, sensitivity and delay values. You can save up to nine custom presets for instant recall. A gradient control smooths transitions between bright and dark to reduce eye fatigue, and a one‑touch grind mode lets you flip to grinding without removing the helmet.
Power comes from an internal 500mAh rechargeable cell with Type‑C charging. A full recharge is about 2.5 hours; runtime is rated up to roughly 1,200 hours with the LEDs off and about 500 hours with the LED active. The display shows a live battery indicator for quick checks.
The shell is molded from high‑strength nylon rather than PP to improve resistance to drops, cracking, sparks and spatter. The pivot headgear uses six separate contact points to spread load and reduce pressure, with breathable padding for longer comfort and minimal spinal compression during extended wear.
Pros
- Large true‑color panoramic viewing area (7.2" x 3.2")
- Fully digital LCD with nine memory presets
- Rechargeable 500mAh battery with Type‑C charging
Cons
- Side windows do not auto‑darken
- Lightweight shell may trade off heavy‑impact toughness
- Some users report fit and cover‑retention issues
VerdictA technologically advanced welding hood that prioritizes clear, true‑color viewing and hands‑free convenience. It pairs a responsive 5‑sensor auto‑darkening filter with a rechargeable 500mAh battery, fully digital controls and memory presets. Best for users who want precise optical performance and easy mode switching, though the shell favors lightness over heavy‑impact toughness.

Light but works well
My grandson, a welder, loved it.

Feels like the pro helmet
Good fit and comfy. The shell is softer plastic so I’d treat it carefully — it’s light and looks sharp, responsive electronics and easy controls. If you need hammer‑proof durability, keep a backup, but the tech and styling are top notch.

Clear optics
Very clear and performs very well.

Disappointed — flimsy and pricey
I found the build flimsy compared with rivals and felt the price didn’t match. I’ve seen reports of failures, units arriving DOA, and darkening issues. If durability and consistent reliability are priorities, this one left me unimpressed.

Gifted and approved
Bought this for my boyfriend; after weeks of daily use he says it works great, looks cool and fits comfortably.

RL600‑LA
I almost bought a cheaper ‘6‑sensor’ unit, but after checking specs I chose this RL‑600LA. The digital microprocessor and LCD give far more consistent filtering than analog setups. The darkening response is 1/30,000s — noticeably faster than many cheaper helmets — and the system pairs five optical sensors with two motion/IR points for the LED, so detection is reliable.

Really good but two issues
Stylish, lightweight and handy, but the front cover can loosen when looking down, and even without the yellow cover the filter has a yellowish tint that can tire the eyes.
