Caiman Premium Goat-Grain TIG / Multi-Task Welding Gloves — Medium
Product description
Imported pair of welding gloves sized to your selection (this listing is for Medium). Constructed with a premium top-grain goatskin leather palm for tactile feel and flexibility, and a gold split cowhide leather on the back for abrasion resistance.
Design features include a Kontour hand shape to follow natural finger alignment and a Kontour Thumb that moves the seam away from contact areas. The patented Kontour Wrist improves fit and reduces slippage while you work. A 4-inch extended cuff helps shield the wrist and lower forearm from sparks and spatter.
The palm includes an unlined padded section and reinforced index finger for added cushioning, plus a combination palm reinforcement and drag patch that continues to the side of the hand to protect high-wear zones. The glove back has a fleece lining for extra warmth. Critical seams are stitched with Kevlar for enhanced seam strength, and side seams are positioned toward the back to keep them out of heavy contact areas.
Intended use: precise TIG welding, light MIG and general shop tasks where dexterity and protection are needed. Not intended as heavy, insulated gloves for prolonged stick welding or rough material handling.
Pros
- Excellent dexterity from goatskin palm
- Ergonomic Kontour fit and secure wrist
- Reinforced palm and Kevlar stitching
Cons
- Not suited for all-day heavy stick welding

VerdictThese gloves deliver excellent fingertip sensitivity and solid hand protection for TIG and light multi-task welding. The top-grain goatskin palm is soft and responsive for precision work, while the gold split cowhide back and reinforced palm areas add durability. The ergonomic Kontour shape and patented wrist give a snug, stable fit. They aren’t built for prolonged heavy stick welding or heavy-dut

Sizing tip — order up if unsure
Sizing runs a bit small. I have small hands and a Medium fit me right. Used them for plasma cutting for a day with no problems.

Well built and comfortable
Right size and solid construction. Comfortable for everyday outdoor work, gives good finger control and a reliable grip when holding materials.

Dependable all-purpose shop gloves
I’ve purchased several pairs. They’re perfect for general shop tasks and fine for light MIG. Single-layer fingers give good feel but limited high-heat protection. I wear them all day and switch to heavier gloves for long welds. XL fit my narrow hands well and the cuff protects my wrist when grinding. Highly recommended.

Not rugged for heavy handling
Good for welding but not for rough material handling. Palm leather is thin and my thumbs developed holes within a few days. They do fit well though.

Best gloves I've used
Welding since 2008 and these are by far the best I’ve used. They fit like true gloves, are comfortable, protect well from heat, are surprisingly flexible, and last long enough to justify the cost. Love them!

Comfortable but fingertip wear is an issue
Very comfortable and generally durable except for the thumb and index tips. Those two spots wear out quickly and could use extra padding. Love the gloves otherwise.

Student upgrade from standard TIG gloves
As a welding student I found these noticeably better than the basic school gloves—thicker, more padding, a better cuff, and actually shaped like hands. They haven’t shrunk and break in nicely. Minor dye transfer onto my skin. Not meant for stick welding; fine for TIG and likely OK for MIG.

Great dexterity and protection for TIG
These strike a great balance of feel and safety. The goat-grain palm is soft and responsive for TIG, while the split cowhide back adds durability. The 4" cuff gives extra coverage. True to size (Large), clean seams, and they broke in fast. Good for beads and handling hot parts confidently.

Excellent performance but pricier due to import
These gloves gave me great heat protection and precise control—ideal for detailed welding. They’re lightweight yet protective. The main downside is higher cost because they ship from abroad, adding extra fees. Still worth it for quality.

Size and craftsmanship
Excellent quality—stitching and panel joins are well executed. The size I ordered felt a bit snug but not uncomfortable; I’ll order a larger size next time. Highly recommend.

Very comfortable for TIG
I recommend them for GTAW/TIG because they’re comfortable and give good control. In heavier processes they may wear out faster.
