Buvlnee Self-Cooling Pet Mat — Washable Ice Silk Pad for Dogs & Cats, 24×18 in
Product description
What you get: one 24 × 18 inch self-cooling pet mat designed for small to medium animals.
Materials and construction: The pad combines an ice-silk cooling fabric on top with a soft interior layer for light cushioning, and a breathable base that lets heat dissipate. There are no gels or liquid reservoirs inside — the cooling effect comes from the surface fabric and internal construction.
Care instructions: The mat is suitable for machine washing as well as hand washing. It’s designed to retain shape and function after repeated cleanings, so it remains usable long-term.
Safety: All components are free from added chemicals and do not contain gel fillings. The fibers are non-irritating, and because there are no liquids inside there’s no risk of leakage or electrical issues. Pets can chew or play on the pad without the hazard of ingesting gel.
Portability and uses: The pad is lightweight, folds up easily and is simple to carry. It’s useful in crates, on beds, car seats, couches or spread on the floor. It also works outdoors when placed in the shade. Consider it a seasonal comfort item to replace or supplement warmer bedding when temperatures rise.
Pros
- Provides passive cooling without gels or liquids
- Machine- and hand-washable and retains shape
- Lightweight, foldable and usable in many spots
Cons
- Relatively thin — limited padding
- Some units may have a temporary factory odor
- Not all pets will choose to lie on it
VerdictThis pet cooling pad delivers noticeable passive cooling thanks to its ice-silk surface and breathable base. It’s machine-washable, foldable and free of gel or liquid fillers, so it’s safer for chewers. Many pets take to it immediately and it holds up well to regular use, though the mat is fairly thin and a few animals may ignore it or react to an initial factory scent. Overall, a practical, low-m

Durable and stays cool for my pup
My 16 lb yorkiepoo uses this on my bed all the time — sleeps, chews and lounges on it. Still looks new after months. Lightweight and truly doesn’t trap heat.

Works but has a noticeable smell
The pad seems comfy and cool but emitted a plastic-like odor at first. My dog was hesitant, so I left it in the breezeway and take it on boat trips; sometimes he sits on it then.

Both dogs now love it
Bought one for a large dog; they ignored it at first but now both fight over it. I’m ordering another for backup.

Fits my Shih Tzu — cat approved too
Perfect for my short-haired pup in summer. I’ve also caught my cat using it, so it’s a hit with multiple pets.

Cat can’t get enough of it
She lies flat on it constantly and loves to run and slide across it. It keeps her comfortable and the sliding is entertaining to watch. Definitely helps with the heat.

Surprisingly cool — my cat turned it into a hideaway
This actually feels cool to the touch. My cat prefers to crawl under it and tunnel rather than lie on top, and now naps there for hours. I didn’t expect such a strong effect for the price — pleasantly surprised.

Feels cool but my big cat mostly ignores it
It is slightly cooler than room temp and none of my cats avoid it. However the mat is thinner than I expected and my Maine Coon only uses it for a minute or two, usually choosing to lie beside it instead.

Too thin for my needs
Very thin and didn’t provide the support I wanted.
