Not suited to Japan’s lower voltage
This model is built for 120V. On 100V systems performance was underwhelming compared with a local 1000W kettle, and I had issues getting a refund from the seller.

Good, just be sure the lid closes

Received yesterday and it boiled in under two minutes. The exterior does get very hot, so keep away from kids. Heat retention was strong later in the day. Packaging and cord storage were neat, and the LED is a nice bonus. Long‑term durability TBD.
