Tactical Diamond K/L-Frame Square-Bottom Revolver Grips — Full-Size Black
Product description
Distinctive diamond pattern: The Tactical Diamond surface is cut into high-strength G10 or Micarta to create a fine, aggressive diamond grid that bites into the hand for positive traction. The pattern is intentionally sharper in the G10 option to maximize grip under recoil.
Designed looks and uses: The grips combine a modern, low-profile silhouette with functional ergonomics. They support a variety of roles — concealed carry, target shooting, competition, or for keeping a firearm as a safe queen — while improving control and tactile confidence.
Fit and configuration: Supplied as two full-size panels in black, these grips are produced specifically for Smith & Wesson K- and L-frame revolvers with square-style bottom profiles. Each panel is CNC machined to close tolerances for a repeatable fit on compatible frames.
Materials and workmanship: Manufactured from American-sourced G10 and Micarta, the panels are cut and finished in the United States on American-made equipment. The materials provide long-term durability, resistance to oils and solvents, and stable grip characteristics in varied conditions.
About the pattern: The Tactical Diamond series was developed for shooters seeking a more assertive texture than alternative patterns (such as the 320 family). Because the diamond edges can be made crisper in G10, expect a very grippy surface. Note: these panels are intended for K/L-frame square-bottom configurations only.
Pros
- Exceptional traction from aggressive diamond texture
- Durable G10 or Micarta construction, American-made
- CNC-machined for precise, repeatable fit
Cons
- Texture can be rough on bare hands with heavy loads
- May need minor fitting on some revolver examples
- Made only for K/L-frame square-bottom models
VerdictThese square-bottom K/L-frame grips deliver an aggressive diamond texture and rugged construction for shooters who want maximum purchase. Made in the USA from G10 or Micarta, the panels are precisely machined and offer excellent control during recoil-heavy shooting. They may be too abrasive for some users on extended hard .357 loads, and fitting can be required on a few revolvers, but overall they

Great grip and sharp checkering
Fantastic panels — the sharp checkering looks great and improves handling noticeably.

Gave my old revolver new life
Slides on perfectly and refreshed the appearance of my vintage Smith. Very tacky grip, well made, and the black color pops.

Very grippy, solid hardware
Sturdy construction and great mounting parts. I also have the smooth version and these fit my Model 19 and 66 perfectly. Texture is much more aggressive than I expected — stops shifting during fire but can feel like a cheese grater on the hand. Overall satisfied; product matched the description.

Excellent fit and look
Installs easily and presents very well. Fit is as tight as you can ask for from a production set. Texture provides good purchase without being excessive. Would purchase again.

Did not fit my model
Was expecting a direct fit but these did not seat on my new S&W 686-6+. Poor fit for that example — would not recommend for that model.

Solid feel but covers serial
I like the aesthetics and sturdiness, but on my Model 10 the panels end up covering the serial number.

High quality but very aggressive
Top-tier build quality from VZ. Fit was excellent out of the box, aside from a tiny trim on one panel to perfect the seam. Extremely grippy; excellent for .38 spl but a bit much with full-power .357 loads after extended strings. Shot a few hundred .38s with no pain.
