10-Gallon (50 lb) Metal Automatic Chicken Feeder — 8-Port
Product description
Large capacity and visible feed level: This feeder holds approximately 10 gallons (roughly 50 lb) of poultry feed and includes a transparent acrylic window so you can see remaining feed at a glance without removing the top.
Height-adjustable legs for stability: Each leg is designed to rotate into position for a tool-free height adjustment. That lets the unit sit level on uneven ground and be raised or lowered to suit bantams through large breeds, extending usefulness across growth stages.
Improved port sealing: The feeding openings use PVC fittings combined with thicker rubber gasket seals to help keep rain out and reduce the chance of damp, spoiled feed. Each port can be closed at night to deter mice and other pests from getting inside.
Galvanized alloy construction: The main body and lid are formed from galvanized aluminum sheet for weather resistance, rodent deterrence and easy cleaning. The metal structure is meant to endure outdoor exposure without attracting chewing damage.
Steep conical lid and included accessories: The sloped metal top discourages birds from standing on it and sheds water during rain. Mounting hardware and protective gloves are provided to assist with assembly and installation.
Pros
- Large 10-gallon / ~50 lb capacity with a clear feed window
- Tool-free adjustable legs for stable, level placement
- Galvanized metal body resists chewing and is easy to clean
Cons
- Plastic PVC ports can feel less robust than metal components
- Full assembly required — takes time and care
- May need sheltered placement in extreme storms to stay fully dry
VerdictThis 10-gallon automatic feeder is built for medium to large flocks that need a dependable, low-maintenance feed station. The galvanized metal body resists chewing and long-term wear, while the acrylic window lets you monitor levels without opening the lid. Adjustable legs let you set comfortable heights for different breeds and ages, and PVC ports with thicker rubber gaskets reduce moisture intru

Huge convenience for the coop
Installing this in our coop was one of the best upgrades. A full load equals a standard bag of feed, so I don’t haul buckets each morning. The automatic gravity system works well, keeps pests mostly out, and multiple birds can eat at once without fights. Feels heavy-duty enough for long-term use if placed sensibly.

Big timesaver for daily chores
This feeder dramatically cut my refilling routine. With 20 hens I only top it up about once a week. Assembly took around half an hour and all parts aligned neatly; the lid clips on securely. The eight ports give plenty of access without birds crowding or wasting food. Kept inside a covered run so it isn’t fully exposed.

Less waste, less work
We replaced multiple small hanging feeders with this single 50 lb unit and it saves a lot of time. Metal construction feels solid and it went together in 10–15 minutes. Telescoping-style legs adjust without tools, and the feed-view windows are handy so you don’t have to unlatch the lid to check levels. Might need a small step for tiny bantams.

Big, adjustable, with a view
A heavy metal alternative to my old plastics; time will tell on rust, but so far so good. The adjustable legs are great for our sloped yard, and the many ports keep pecking order disputes to a minimum. The clear window is my favorite feature — no lid lifting to see feed level. It did require full assembly, which was a bit involved compared with plug-and-play plastic models.

One of my best utility buys
This 10-gallon unit holds about 50 pounds and is ideal if you want to fill once and forget for a while. The gravity feed design is simple and reliable — no electronics. Assembly was straightforward: labeled parts, full hardware, and even extra pieces included. A QR code in the manual made setup easier.

Strong metal, weaker plastics
The metal panels and roof are well made and fit together cleanly — gloves were a nice inclusion. My frustration is with the plastic feeding pieces: the threads are shallow and can back out if bumped. Handle those parts carefully when installing to avoid cross-threading or loosening.

Solid capacity but a few caveats
Great if you want to avoid daily fills — it holds a lot. The sheet metal seems thin during build, though once assembled it’s steady and the lid locks down with two spring latches. I’d be cautious leaving it fully exposed in a heavy storm; we keep ours under an overhang. The gasket placement instructions felt counterintuitive to me.
