Fortiflex 2-Compartment Mineral Feeder for Small Animals (1-3/4 Qt)
Product description
This Fortiflex feeder comes as a two-compartment unit with a 1-3/4-quart capacity and is finished in black. The housing is made from an exclusive Fortally-EPDM rubber blended with high-density polyethylene (HDPE) to resist wear and impact.
Flanges on both the top and bottom help secure the feeder firmly to walls, fencing or panels. The design includes pre-drilled mounting holes; it can be hung on wire or fastened with screws, and users often add extra holes or drainage as needed for their setup.
Besides holding minerals and salt, the twin compartments are useful for offering separate supplements — for example loose minerals in one side and baking soda or grit in the other — or as a small parts holder in workshops or barns. Its sturdy construction makes it suitable for animals that nudge or play with feeders.
Pros
- Durable Fortally-EPDM rubber and HDPE blend
- Two separate compartments prevent mixing
- Sturdy flanges allow secure mounting
Cons
- Must unscrew to remove for cleaning
- May need extra mounting holes for very active animals
- Limited color/finish option (black)
VerdictA durable, versatile mineral feeder for goats, horses, chickens and other small animals. The twin compartments let you offer separate free-choice supplements without mixing. Heavy-duty construction and flanges at top and bottom make it reliable when mounted. Best for owners who want a long-lasting, easy-to-hang dispenser, though removal for cleaning requires unscrewing.

Great for chicken coop
Used in my chicken run for grit and oyster shell. Husband drilled drainage holes and it hangs on the fencing just fine. Works great.

Ideal for goats' minerals
Hard to find locally, but works great for our goats. Lets me offer loose minerals and baking soda in one unit without mixing. Very sturdy for goats that jostle each other.

Well made but harder to clean
Solid, sturdy construction and a good size for minerals or small goat feed. Downside: you must unscrew it to remove for cleaning; keyhole mounts would be more convenient.

Handy, adjustable goat feeder
I wired it to the pen and clipped it up. Can raise it as my goat grows without putting holes in the wall. Works great.

Sturdier than expected
Perfect for my chickens' grit and calcium. I drilled drainage holes for rainwater and it's holding up well.

Works well in the chicken run

Ample size for horses
Large enough for a horse to get its nose in easily. Capacity handles minerals, oats or salt and the heavy-duty build stands up to use. Mounting can be reinforced with extra screws.
